In celebration of the amazing success of 70 years, we’re asking those across the North East to get creative with the colour purple on Friday 16th February 2024.
This could mean wearing purple clothes or having a purple-themed event like a bake sale. The possibilities are endless.
Whatever you decide to do, every penny raised will go to support the children and adults we empower every week and their families. We would love your help encouraging as many people as possible to get involved, so spread the word to parents, teachers, friends and family, and together we’ll paint the toon purple.
#PaintTheToon Purple 2023
On May 19th 2023 we celebrated #PaintTheToon Purple!
Across the Foundation, students and staff dressed in purple, hosted bake sales, garden parties and more. Even businesses such as Standby Healthcare and Tyne Tunnel got involved!

Our vision is ‘Inspire, Believe, Achieve’ and our amazing #TeamPercyHedley supporters will do just that when they take on this fun Paint The Toon Purple fundraising event, raising thousands to help us continue to enhance the lives of disabled children, young people, and adults across the North East.
From a school with only 12 pupils in 1953, the Foundation now supports 650 members and their families every week, supported by over 1100 staff.
