#PaintTheToon Purple 2023

See how we celebrated our first ever #PaintTheToon Purple!

On May 19th the Foundation celebrated our first #PaintTheToon Purple event.
This was where we challenged those across the North East to get creative with the colour purple. That could mean just simply dressing in purple, or putting on a purple themed event such as a bake sale. The possibilities were endless and anyone could get involved.

May 19th arrived and our schools and residentials were decked in purple.

Students, staff and service users from Hedleys College and Horizons dressed up in purple props and accessories:

Northern Counties School in Jesmond invited parents and carers in for a purple themed bake sale. They also crafted a big purple Angel of the North and spent the day attaching purple feathers to it. See photos below:

One of our residentials, Leybourne, took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather and had a purple-themed Garden Party. One of the Senior Support Workers stepped in as resident DJ.

Even businesses got involved!

Tyne Tunnel brought in purple food, including a delicious purple cake.

Standby Healthcare dressed in purple and put on a purple-themed quiz.

Lenore Specialist Care staff from Siena Court had a purple coffee-morning.

Pinpoint Recruitment’s staff dressed in purple and Medsolve decorated both the office and themselves in purple.

The photos below can be found on the businesses social media profiles, for example you can find Standby Healthcare on Facebook @Standby.Healthcare, Lenore @sienacourt and Tyne Tunnel on LinkedIn @tynetunnels

We’d like to thank everyone who got involved, you all did amazing!

We hope to #PaintTheToon Purple again next year.
