About Us
Chipchase House is one of the largest residential sites within the Percy Hedley Foundation as well as being one of the oldest. It’s home to around 50 residents, some of whom have been with us since the building opened many years ago.
The Ferndene bungalows are on the same site and these promote independent living in a safe and pleasant environment within a quiet neighbourhood in Forest Hall, approximately five miles from Newcastle upon Tyne city centre.
Living with Us
We offer a choice of living options to meet the needs of the individual. All accommodation is single occupancy and ranges from single bedrooms with a shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet, to self-contained bed sitting accommodation with an integrated kitchen, private bathroom and toilet.
The aim of Chipchase House and Ferndene is to place the rights of the residents at the forefront of our philosophy of care. We want to advance these rights in all aspects of the environment, and the services we provide, to encourage our residents to exercise their rights to their full potential.
