Golf Day 2026

What an incredible time we had at our 2026 Golf Day!

We welcomed 21 teams to Close House’s Lee Westwood Filly Course for a day of friendly competition, raising money for a great cause. Championed by our headline sponsor Pin Point Healthcare with additional support from hole sponsor ECBS, we were set for a fantastic day of golfing.

The day started with hearing from our host, Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves who set the tone of the day. Our Chief Executive John Preston warmly welcomed attendees, sharing updates from Percy Hedley and thanking everyone for taking the time to join us.

Hedley’s College students James and Harvey then confidently and proudly shared their journeys within the Foundation that have taken them to where they are today, highlighting their achievements and their aspirations for the future.

Golfers then made their way across the scenic 18-hole course, taking part in a variety of competitions along the way. Among the competitions was a hole-in-one challenge, offering a £10,000 cash prize. Mulligans were also on hand to assist our golfers as they progressed throughout.

As we gathered back at the clubhouse for some well-deserved food, we shared the results:

1st Place: Beamish Golf Club

2nd Place: Pete Graves’ team

3rd Place: Anchor Group Services

We raised over £13,000, an absolutely incredible result which wouldn’t have been possible without the support and generosity of our attendees.
