Family Information and FOPHS News Friday 8th March 2024

Welcome to Percy Hedley School's Family Liaison Blog!

With the temperature at -3 when I left home on Monday, you’d be forgiven for confusing it with winter. It improved as the week wore on. It has been a busy week at school.

We had World Book Day on Thursday and the annual Student Council Mother’s Day sale on Friday. I’ll fill you in next week on the latter as this will have gone to print early on Friday.

On Wednesday I met with the Student Council, which was very interesting. Kayden, the Chair visits me regularly and keeps me updated. Plans for running the Mother’s Day sale were top of the list of priorities. They also helped choose some play equipment they would like to buy from their funds.

We have also had activities linked to National Careers week, more on that in the school blog. It was lovely to see a couple of former PHS students in from Hedley’s College as part of this event.

Events in school next week:

FoPHS Meeting: Thursday 14th March 9.30-11.00

Comic Relief/Beating the Odds Day: Friday 15th March. (More details to follow once shared with me)

FoPHS News

Our next meeting is on Thursday 14th March 9.30-11.00. Building on the success of parents/carers coming in to help with the grotto at Christmas, the various fayres we want to extend and provide more opportunities for those of you who can, to support us.
