Family Information and FOPHS News Friday 6th December 2024
School is at its busiest in December and we started this month with a 2-day full Ofsted Inspection. Thanks to all who completed the Ofsted Parent View survey. It is important to share your views. Prior to an inspection Ofsted scrutinise school’s website. We are instructed, once notified of an inspection to share the link with you, along with information on how Ofsted inspects schools and a letter from the Lead Inspector. Before these went out, just 5 parents had completed the survey; there are now 65 responses. As part of my role, I advertise this at my social coffee events, and I normally remind families in the spring term. It is lovely for staff to see how much positivity there was in the responses. You can view the results here: https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/parent-view-results Just put Percy Hedley School in the search bar and it is the first option.
Lovely events are planned and are listed below in the events section. We are still accepting donations for the Enterprise fayre and raffle. The proceeds of the raffle will be shared with FoPHS. Thanks to all who pre purchased tickets. More will be available on the day or by request from me or Hazel Scott.

Creating a Safe Online Environment: Understanding Malicious Communication
In today’s digital age, children have access to a vast array of information and social interactions online with easy access due to mobile phones. While the internet offers countless opportunities for learning and communication, it can also expose young users to potential risks, such as malicious communication. Understanding and addressing these risks is crucial in fostering a safe online environment for your child.

Thought for the week:
As school becomes a busier place, preparing for festive celebrations for students and families I thought I would share this one:
“No one tells you how much work goes into creating Christmas magic—until you’re a parent.”
