Fundraising

If you haven’t started fundraising this is a great opportunity to start!  The earlier you start fundraising, the easier you will find it.  If you start fundraising this month, you will only need to raise less than £40 per month to reach your fundraising target.

Tips and tricks for fundraising:

  • Promote your fundraising page on your social media page and encourage friends and family to support the cause.
  • Promote your fundraising page to your work colleagues.
  • Do your own fundraising activities to encourage people to donate to your fundraising page; bake sale, coffee morning, bingo, bonus ball game.
  • Share your training progress on social media, this will encourage people to donate to your fundraising page.

Hear from previous runners

From running for family members, to coming all the way from America, our #TeamPercyHedley runners have some fantastic stories. Hear from them and get inspired!

Danielle ran the 2024 Great North Run for her brother Paul, who has Cerebral Palsy, and who attends our Horizons Day Service.

After initially thinking that she wouldn’t hit her targets, she raised an amazing £1400 in total and beat her running target by just 1 minute!

On her fundraising journey she said, “I think sharing Paul’s story works, people are really invested because he does go through a lot. Don’t be frightened to ask people for donations, people do want to help.”
