ENTER RAFFLE >Hedley’s College Police Cadets Win 2 Awards
An absolutely massive well done to our Hedley’s College Northumbria Police Cadets on winning the Natspec Curriculum Innovation Award and Innovator of the Year Award!
Natspec award a number of colleges each year with their Natspec Awards. We knew a couple of weeks ago in an online awards ceremony that the Police Cadet Programme had won the “Curriculum Innovation Award”. However, when Deputy Principal, Wendy, attended the conference, we were surprised with a 2nd additional award. Our Police Cadets Programme had won not only the Natspec Curriculum Innovation Award, but they were also announced as the winner of the Innovator of the Year Award as well.
This is a fantastic achievement and is national recognition of the work that our staff and students do!
Joe Wicks Visits Percy Hedley School
Last month Joe Wicks paid a visit to George Stephenson High School in Killingworth as a part of his UK school tour.
After his first trip around the country to inspire kids to get moving in 2019, the Body Coach returned to travelling to schools across the UK. His aim this time was to get children learning about the physical and mental benefits of movement and exercise, with this particular tour focussing on the importance of sleep. During this tour he met and exercised with more than 10,000 children, our students among them.
Students from Percy Hedley School joined others on the field where Joe Wicks delivered a 30-minute fitness class. The atmosphere was electric, the sun was shining and both students and staff had lots of fun.

- And more.
