The week began with a talk from North East Ambulance Service, a visit from an anaesthetist and a visit from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service. Children at Northern Counties School enjoyed identifying body parts and having a look at the fire engine and the various tools fire fighters use.

Visits continued throughout the week. With local businesses such as Georgina’s Ceramics hosting a ceramics workshop, Liberdade at Gosforth Civic Centre putting on a dance workshop, and Jesmond Orchard providing sunflower seeds for students to plant.

Businesses also visited Percy Hedley School and Hedley’s College during the week.

Discovery Museum held an interactive talk with students, even bringing in costumes.

And the week was rounded off with a visit from local business Magical Bubble Suds, where students and members got to play with bath bombs and learn about running your own business. As well as visits from Bellway Homes and finally Greggs, who brought in plenty of snacks.

Thank you to all the businesses who came in and hosted workshops and activities!
