There were plenty of festivities around the Foundation this year which culminated in the Big Man himself visiting on December first.
Read on to see how different parts of the Foundation celebrated this season of Goodwill.
Northern Counties Christmas Celebrations
From Light Switch On's, to Christmas Dinner and Christmas Pantos, NCS had lots of events in December.
1. Jesmond Light Switch On
Celebrations began with a Jesmond Light switch on, where the children from Northern Counties School assisted in pressing the button and lighting up dozens of decorations along Acorn Road in Jesmond. They then progressed to St Georges Church where they put on a rendition of the Nativity and lit up the big Christmas tree there.
You can see more on the event through the article and the video below:
2. Communication Day
Back for another year, NCS’s Communication Day celebrated all the different ways students and teachers communicate with one another. This was done by a Christmas themed Craft Morning, followed by Christmas Carols and hot chocolates on the field in the afternoon.
See photos below:
3. Christmas Panto
This year’s theme was Cinderella! And class groups had fun each taking part in the panto.
Hedleys College and Horizons
Hedleys College and Horizons celebrated Christmas by hosting a Christmas Fair.
Students and staff held stalls in both the East and West sites with a variety of products available, including decorations, food and more which they had made themselves.
Summer from Medsolve also came round to deliver chocolates to students and staff, decked out in a very festive Christmas jumper.
Santa came to Wansbeck!
