Semi-formal
Pathway

Our semi formal curriculum is creative, engaging and individualised to the identified needs of each learner offers pupils the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through meaningful experiences, which acknowledge their individual needs, interest and sensory profiles. Lessons are planned to develop pupil’s functional literacy and communication skills, functional maths knowledge, observational skills, problem-solving, investigation skills, self-occupation and independence skills. It is intended that learnt skills can be used across a range of contexts and where appropriate, support will be provided to access a range of contexts to promote generalisation of learnt skills.
