More than 80 people put their feet on the line and took part in our Firewalk last night.
Despite the wet weather, UK Firewalk managed to get set up outside the Baltic Mill, Gateshead, and thankfully the rain had cleared by the time the first firewalker went across.
Well done and thank you to everyone who took part, we can’t wait to see how much you have all raised by being very brave and walking over coals that were 300 degrees hot!
The atmosphere was fantastic with plenty passers-by stopping to see what was going on and there were lots of cheers every time someone walked over.
Special mention to David Burdus, who completed what we think is the first ever firewheel using specially adapted wheels and gloves to go across in his wheelchair.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to the team at UK Firewalk, who battled through the rain to get the fire ready and also to the Baltic Mill for letting us host another crazy event there.
