The iMUSE studio is run by the Speech and Language Therapy team at Linskill.
During a session you get to enjoy a relaxation based activity where you can listen to a choice of carefully selected music with an added Low Frequency vibration to enhance the therapeutic and relaxation aspects of the experience.
You can also use a variety of equipment such as soundbeam, microphones and switches to help control your session with every movement or vocalisation interacting with the images on screen to enable you to produce some truly amazing works of digital artwork.
All of these sessions are person centred and individuals are encouraged to take an active role in shaping and developing the format of their iMUSE experience.
iMUSE has been developed to be fully inclusive activity open to all. This means people with profound and complex needs can experience being in control of music and visuals.
Hedleys Employability recently secured a grant of £11,000 from department store John Lewis Newcastle, which will be used to purchase iMUSE equipment that can be taken out into the community.
