The Tim Carter Appeal

The Tim Carter Appeal, in association with Sunderland Football Club, aims to raise funds to enable Percy Hedley Foundation to build a hydrotherapy pool for disabled children in the North East.

The new hydrotherapy pool will complement the facilities available at the Percy Hedley Sports Academy and will also be the regional centre for Halliwick Swimming, a special technique to teach swimming and independence in water to disabled children and adults. It will also provide a multi-sensory environment with music and colour, controlled by the childrens movement. The pool will also provide fitness programmes, water based therapy programmes and lots of fun!
