Director of Fundraising and Marketing

Des Bustard joined the Percy Hedley Foundation as Appeals Director in 1996. He is a member of the Institute of Fundraising.

Des has extensive experience of the voluntary sector and has been involved in fundraising for charitable causes in the North East for many years. He is responsible for funding ongoing, wide ranging and exciting developments within the Foundation's Children's Services, Adult Services, Residential Services, Respite Care Provision and Specialist Sports Centre.

Des directed the appeal fund to raise three million pounds for the Percy Hedley Senior School at Killingworth, which was officially opened by HRH Princess Alexandra and he also directed the appeal to raise one million pounds to establish the Percy Hedley Academy for Disability Sports at Killingworth, which was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal.
