Sports Development Officer

Adam Parry B.A. (Hons)

Adam took up post as Sports Development Officer at the Percy Hedley Academy for Disability Sports in January 2006 and is based within the Academy on West Lane in Killingworth. Originally a professional Rugby player he has also worked at Gateshead MBC Leisure Services and more recently at Sage UK Limited.

His role within the Sports Academy largely revolves around the strategic development of sporting opportunities provided by the Academy as well as the actual coaching of sports. As well as his role within the Sports Academy he is also Secretary for the Wheelchair Football Association, the governing body of wheelchair football in England and President of the Sports Department for the Federation International of Powerchair Football Associations, the international governing body of Powerchair Football.
