The college will draw up individual learning plans for each student with an emphasis on teaching them independent living skills and offering work experience placements.

Facilities at the new college include a café and social area, a performing arts studio, art and design workshop and catering and restaurant area. Students will also have the opportunity to use other Percy Hedley Foundation facilities such as the specialist sports academy and Able2Print workshop.
