The Fourth North East Lobster Fest was held at Hardwick Hall Hotel, County Durham on Friday 8th May 2009 with Percy Hedley Foundation this year's benefiting charity.

Regarded as one of the main corporate events in the social calendar, the Loster Fest is held in a massive marquee with an amazing menu of lobster, crab, salmon and Dublin Bay prawns, following a champagne reception. Entertainment included Jim Davidson and Four Poofs and a Piano and guests very generously contributed to the charity raffle and collections, assisted by staff and volunteers from Percy Hedley School and Sports Academy.

Our fundraising was greatly boosted by guests paying to throw 'six sixes' for the chance to win a VW Beetle, courtesy of Pulman Volkswagen, Durham and 'Play Your Cards Right', courtesy of Dandy Events. Additional help from Tyne Tees models, who took part in the Miss Newcastle competition, added to the glamour of the occasion.

Sincere thanks go to everyone involved, especially to Ramside Events for giving us this fantastic fundraising opportunity. Thanks also to all the staff at Hardwick Hall, especially Dawn Coates, who helped us make the most of the day.
