The HMS Dauntless runners relax after the run

A heartfelt thank you to you all!

There was a party atmosphere in the Percy Hedley tent following the 2008 BUPA Great North Run when runners arrived for a well deserved rest, refreshments and massage.

Some of the runners were staff and parents of children at Percy Hedley and Northern Counties Schools as well as teams from Proctor & Gamble, National Grid, Gateshead police, HMS Dauntless and a team of twelve Pink Panthers from Parbold in Lancashire.

One of the Pink Panthers, Yvonne Wyke ran on an amazing 1 hour 24 minutes which won her the female 40-45 age group category and 248th overall place.

Northern Counties School is close to the Pink Panther's hearts as Anne Gregory, one of the Pink Panthers, has a daughter who attends the school.
