Last year children at Leybourne set up a Garden Committee and came up with lots of exciting ideas for the garden. Thanks to the generous support of the Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund, National Grid, R. W. Mann Trust, National Lottery Awards for All, Westfield School and Metro Radio Just for Kids, work began on the garden last autumn and with their help the children's ideas have been able to blossom!

Children at Leybourne are very excited about their new garden and will benefit enormously from the safe, stimulating and vibrant environment. The garden will provide exciting experiences to encourage independence and social communication, as well as the opportunity to learn new skills, such as planting seeds, tending plants and learning how to maintain the garden throughout the year.
