Northern Counties School held its Annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 6th December 2008 - an event which is growing each year and is great fun for all the staff, children and their families. We also have many visitors who are former pupils and who make sure our school remains a part of the Deaf community in the region.

Brett Hanratty, a former pupil, made a special donation following a reunion of former pupils and staff in October. A huge cheque for £722.27 was given to Judith James to be added to our Children's Fund.

The Fair included stalls with crafts and homemade cakes and biscuits made by the children, tombolas and a raffle as well as a fabulous Santa's grotto and activities such as biscuit decorating. The fair raised almost £3,000 which will go towards residential trips in the spring and summer terms.
