The Percy Hedley Foundation leads the way

The Percy Hedley Foundation is proud to announce that Angela Gilbert, Principal of Northern Counties College, is one of only six Specialist College Principals in the UK to have been awarded the prestigious Principals Qualifying Programme.

David Barker, Director of Adult Services at The Percy Hedley Foundation said "This is a fantastic achievement for Angela and also the Foundation. It is our aim to provide high quality services at all times and supporting staff to complete qualifications such as this demonstrates our full commitment".

The Principals qualifying programme (PQP) is an executive leadership development programme for principals in the FE sector. It is a highly personalised programme which uses experiential learning and reflective practice to develop increased leadership capacity. The programme support principals in leading transformational change in the sector and has been designed to support new and existing principals in their leadership of complex change and in shaping a new sector.

Angela Gilbert commented "I found the various elements of the programme extremely supportive in helping me develop the leadership skills needed to take a specialist college forward in pursuit of excellence".
