College Students Participate in the Jesmond Festival
College students helped to decorate the floats used in the festival
Kirsty Duffy, Abbie Barnes and Jayne Huscroft, students at the College, took part in the Jesmond Festival parade.
The students took part in the creation of an artistic banner called 'Hand in Hand' which was organised by Ctrl, Alt and Shift.
They met on the green outside St George's Church on Osborne Road where the parade left at 12 mid-day.
The parade left St George's Church and went along Osborne Road, Acorn Road, St George's Terrace, Thornleigh Road, Forsyth Road Bridge and finished in the new West Jesmond School grounds.
Included in the parade were the Town Crier, Carnival Float, Banners, Drummers, Stilt Walker, Egyptian Horse and Belly Dancer and our students and staff.
When the parade arrived at the school there were Displays by Festival Performers, Street Dance Performance by Sam Putt, Newcastle All Stars Steel Orchestra, Northern Counties College, Hot Food and Drinks and Craft Displays.
Every one enjoyed the experience.
