We provide high quality, specialist services for disabled adults. We offer residential services, day services and northern counties college. Throughout adult services we have a positive, enabling approach and seek to develop the maximum independence for residents, service users and students.

A brief introduction to our services

Residential Services
Our residential accommodation at Chipchase House and Ferndene in Forest Hall, Newcastle upon Tyne, is in great demand and offers specialist high quality care. A range of living options are available to meet the needs of all individuals. Residents have a wide range of activities available both within and outside Percy Hedley provision.

Adult Day Services
Our Day Services are hugely popular and widely recognized for the range of activities and the quality of the service we provide. Service users have the opportunity to develop their skills in a huge range of activities including Horticulture, Ceramics, Art and Craft, Sport and Leisure, ICT, living skills and music. We also have a Business Park based ‘Employability’ Project offering work experience in ICT, marketing, design and print.

Northern Counties College
A college for a better life. The Northern Counties College is based in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne and offers individualised learning for disabled students who would have significant difficulties in accessing other local further education colleges. Life skills, Adult & Community skills, Communication skills and Vocational & Employment skills are taught in a modern college minutes from the heart of Newcastle.
