The Karten CTEC Centre was established in 2000 to enable people to develop their ICT skills.
It has a range of assistive technology devices including specialist keyboards, track balls and joysticks. Users can work at their own pace to work on individual projects, group projects, access the internet, improve their knowledge and skills, social media and much more.
Individual progress is recognised through the AQA Unit of Achievement Scheme. Assessment of an individual, with regard to accessing ICT, can also be carried out upon request.
