Wheelchair Basketball

Catering for manual Wheelchair users, this club aims to create opportunities for newcomer's to play the exciting fast paced sport of Wheelchair Basketball.

Coached by Wheelchair Basketball players and qualified ages the session allows for people of all ages to become a part of this excellent sport.

Also based within this session is the Newcastle Eagles School of Excellence which develops players to play in the various GBWBA junior competitions and leagues.

Sessions take place at the Academy between 5:30pm and 7:30pm on a Wednesday evening and the cost is £3 per person.

Registration

If you are interested in taking part in any of these activities please complete a registration form and return to the Sports Academy asap. Alternatively if you are looking to play a particular sport or are looking for somewhere to start a club please get in touch and we will try to assist you.

If none of these clubs are of interest to you or you have difficulty attending but wish to be kept informed of future developments, again please complete the form and return, stating this fact.

Newcastle Eagles Wheelchair Basketball Club

Percy Hedley Sports Academy is also home to the senior team which plays in the GBWBA Super League.

The team includes past and present GB players and is coached by a number of coaches including Eagles coaches.

As well as training at the Sports Academy, Newcastle Eagles Wheelchair Basketball Club also play their home games here.
