Northern Thunder and Northern Thunder Blues have already taken part in two
national league weekends and are both sitting in 3rd place in their
respective tables, however an unlucky draw in the cup saw the two Academy teams
facing each other in the first round.

Leaders UK and is one of the leading organisations in the UK targeting 'Hard to
reach populations'.

Percy Hedley Sports Academy hosted the Boccia DES Regional Competition
over the wekend of the 12th-14th October. More than 100 competitors from all over the
North East took part in a very successful tournament with some very high standard and exciting games.

On Sunday 4th October 2009, the North East Regional Powerchair Football League
kicked off at the Percy Hedley Sports Academy. Five teams from within the Percy
Hedley Powerchair Football scheme are competing over a series of six days for the
trophy.

A team from Percy Hedley Sports Academy were at Lord's cricket ground on 12th May,
where they competed in the Lords Taverners National Table Cricket Finals, achieving
a respectable 3rd place overall in the competition.

recently returned from a visit to Singapore with the FIPFA President, Herve Delattre,
where the aim of the visit was to assist the South East Asian country
in developing Powerchair Football.

incorporate the entire Percy Hedley Sports Academy, including two weekends of competition and an awards evening
to be held at St James' Park, home of Newcastle United.
