Northern Thunder Update

Northern Thunder Logo

Northern Thunder and Northern Thunder Blues have already taken part in two national league weekends and are both sitting in 3rd place in their respective tables. The National league takes place over six weekends throughout the year at the Arena sports centre in Kettering. Both teams will play 20 fixtures over the season as well as taking part in the Cup which includes all teams from the different leagues coming together. An unlucky draw resulted in Northern Thunder and Northern Thunder Blues facing each other in the first round. Northern Thunder showed they were the stronger team as expected and also went on to win the next round of games.

Northern Thunder who play in the Premiership played some great football to secure two wins and two draws during the latest fixtures and a very close and exciting game against the team currently sitting top of the table which ended in a draw. The player of the weekend was Edward Common who showed some amazing skills and ability throughout the weekend having a very big impact on all four games played. Edward along with other players from Northern Thunder are currently attending England trails which are being held over several weekends around the country.
