Percy Hedley Sports Academy becomes an official Outreach Centre for Sports Leaders Awards

Percy Hedley Sports Academy has been recognised as an Outreach Centre for Sports Leaders UK and is one of the leading organisations in the UK targeting 'Hard to reach populations'.

As a result of this, the Sports Academy will be delivering a new Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership beginning in January 2010.

The Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to independently lead small groups of people in sport and recreational activities.

It comprises approximately thirty-five hours of teaching and ten hours of demonstrated Sports Leadership.

All theoretical studies will be delivered in the new Outreach Centre and then the practical Sports Leadership will take place within the current Sports Academy clubs.

It is anticipated that the cost of this course will be £40 per person and will include all materials, clothing etc and will take place on Tuesday evenings.
