New Sports Development Officer Appointed

We are pleased to announce that Helen Jackson has been appointed as the 2nd dedicated Sports Development Officer within the Sports Academy. Although she will only be working part time, Helen's role will include lead responsibility on several of the Academy's planned delivery programs including coaching into schools and leading the set up of new Percy Hedley ran clubs around the North East region.

Helen is no stranger to Percy Hedley though as although she has worked for the last five years as a disability development officer at North Tyneside Council she spent nine years prior to that working within Percy Hedley Adult Day services developing sport. Her other roles have included developing sport and recreation within Mental Health services and developing outdoor leisure pursuits among children's homes so you can appreciate the experience and knowledge that she brings to the team.
