Faye continues to go from strength to strength in Boccia
Faye Stevenson has had a remarkable year in Boccia and continues to improve her game from competition to competition. Playing in both the DSE and CP Sport Regional Competitions she also qualified for the National Competitions in both finals.
Coming second in the National CP Sport Competition after beating 4 GB Internationals en route to the final was the beginning of the next stage of her Boccia career which has now seen her compete in the GB Boccia Championships as well as becoming a regular in England Squad training sessions and more recently, narrowly missing out on a place in the England Squad for the Invitational International Tournament to be held in Cheshire this July.
'Faye has improved her game immensely over the last few months and has also stepped up her training regime in preparation for England training sessions. She has adapted her techniques and equipment and is constantly striving to improve her play. We are all very proud of her achievements so far and are supporting her to go further in her Boccia career and are sure that she will be a future star in Boccia' Adam Parry, Sports Development Officer at Percy Hedley Sports Academy (and Faye's Ramp Assistant!)
The next few months will see a further increase in her training program as she prepares for the next England Training event to be held in October.
