FIPFA Powerchair Football
World Cup 2007
The Pride of Percy Hedley
Percy Hedley are very proud to have sponsored and supported the England Powerchair Football team through our coaching and administrative support, which has enabled the sport to make fantastic progress over the past two years.
We are delighted that several of our Sports Academy players, including Faye Stevenson, were selected to play for England and very proud of their progress.

"I first started playing Powerchair football in December 2006. I took to the
sport very well and rapidly became one of the leading players at my club
Northern Thunder.
In March 2007 I received a letter inviting me to the trials to play for
England in the first World Cup Finals in Japan. This alone
was a great achievement as I had only been playing the sport for a short period
of time.
The next thing I knew I was opening a letter telling me I had made it into the
final eight and I was now a national player. The emotions I went through that
day were unreal, one moment I would be really excited and the next I'd be nervous
about what I would be facing.
The over all experience was fantastic and I am proud of myself of what I have
achieved as a person and a player and without the support of the Sports Academy
and Staff I do not think I would have achieved as much as I have done so far."
