Two teams represent Percy Hedley at the 2nd National Power Wheelchair Football league
This weekend two Powerchair Football teams representing Percy Hedley Foundation are travelling to Nottingham to compete in the 2nd National Powerchair Football League event.
Both Northern Thunder and Percy Hedley Panthers are working their way to the top of the table in this new and exciting sport for Powerchair users. Both teams have a mixture of old and young players and are looking forward to the opportunity to play again in this very competitive league.
This is the 2nd stage of the WFA (Wheelchair Football Association) National League, set up to continue players development in order to be selected for the next England Representative squad that hopes to travel to the 1st Official Federation of International Power Football Association (FIPFA) World Cup in Japan in October 2007 with the aim of establishing Powerchair Football as a Paralympic Sport in time for London 2012.
